Accountant



Job Description:

  • Executes the company &/or client accounting and financial policies.
  • Prepares accounting report such as; receivables, payables and banks’ reconciliation on a monthly and annually basis.
  • Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports.
  • Responsible for reviewing and controlling the company’s and/or client’s purchases.
  • Handles and files bank account, duties and monthly reconciliations.
  • Handles and files the accountancy related documents, forms and vouchers.
  • Prepare checks and payments.
  • Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.
  • Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control.
  • Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clients.
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Recommend, develop and maintain financial data bases.
  • Supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company's automated financial systems.
  • Collection activities to maximize cash receipts and contact with clients regarding overdue accounts.
  • Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel, and direct its work activities.
  • Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist tax division in preparing tax forms and tax computation (if required).
  • Interact with internal and external auditors for the preparation and coordination of the audit & Tax process for office's/client’s account and any other accounting assignments.
  • Executes any tasks related to Quality Assurance which is requested by the management such as maintain documents and records according to BDO and/or client’s Standards and perform miscellaneous job duties as assigned.


Technical Competency:
  • Has good knowledge in accounting, finance and budgeting.
  • Good knowledge in the financial statements and ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports.
  • Good knowledge in cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Knowledge in accounts payable and receivable.
  • Knowledge of Debit & Credit.
  • Book keeping.
  • Collection skills.
  • Very good communication skills (Arabic & English).


Practical Experience
2 – 3 years experience in accounting.

Educational Qualification
Minimum of Bachelor Degree in Accounting from a Reputable University.
CPA professional certificate is a credit.
